Couples therapy focuses on individualized topics to explore and strengthen the relationship.  At other times, sessions may focus on determining if the relationship is mutually beneficial and provide guidance in following through on what the couple decides is best for both individuals involved.  Regardless, Jessica can help navigate the relationship terrain by meeting the couple where they are at and offering tools for moving forward.    

Current relationship dynamics, concerns and needs are initially assessed.   Therapy typically includes evaluation of personality traits, sharing family backgrounds, identification of strengths and growth areas, expressing thoughts and emotions, improving communication skills, resolving conflict, problem-solving, reducing stress and identifying goals.  Treatment has incorporated the use of assessment questionnaires, expressive arts, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques.
